About myself
I am an Italian from Bari who has lived in Austria for six years. I received my
degree in Translation and Interpretation at the Advanced School for Interpreters
and Translators from the University of Bologna (Italy) and my Dr. ph. in
linguistics at the University of Vienna (Austria).
The idea of being able to communicate with other people and express my thoughts
in languages different from my mother tongue has always fascinated me. I have
made my profession out of this great interest of mine and I am also interested
in linguistics which I consider a bridge connecting many different languages.
I like to see myself as a tree: my roots are my family, my mother tongue or
native language, my culture, my ideas, my experiences, my professional training.
The branches represent my connection with the outside world. The leaves are my
contacts with people, and the fruits, the communication between the different
cultures which I put in connection with each other. This is the purpose of my
work!
